A highlight of his career would be when Staff Sergeant Green returned to MCRD Parris Island and served as a Drill Instructor and Senior Drill Instructor in 2d Battalion, Company G.

After graduating seven platoons of basically trained Marines, he was selected to serve as an Instructor at Drill Instructor School where he graduated seven classes of new drill instructors. Creating Meaningful Work

After his military career, Jason moved his family back to the Pittsburgh area, used the GI Bill to earn his Bachelor’s degree from Robert Morris University, and worked for a local non-profit organization assisting homeless veterans to gain meaningful employment.
